Chair, Jack Jouett District

Dear Jack Jouett Democrats:

It may take a while to determine our Presidential nominee, but one thing is certain in my view: either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama would be a superior President to John McCain. If we keep that reality in mind and work hard for the Democratic candidate this summer and fall, we will win the White House and begin to repair the enormous damage that the Bush Administration has done to our country.

The foregoing is easy to say, but this primary election season has aroused passions, and there has been a lot of unnecessary negative campaigning. I worry that some people who have worked hard for the nomination of their candidate will be tempted to stop working if that candidate does not prevail. I urge all Jack Jouett Democrats not to give in to that temptation. We will need your help throughout the summer and fall to make sure that we get out the largest Democratic vote possible, not only for our Presidential nominee but also for our Senate and House candidates.
